Parts of Albuquerque metro area receive about 1.5 inches of rain

Some places in the Albuquerque metro area reported at least an inch of rain on Monday evening.
While Albuquerque International Sunport did not receive precipitation, parts of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque and the North Valley unofficially reported 1.56 inches and 1.07 inches, respectively, said Byron Morton, chief meteorologist for Journal partner KOAT-TV.
Despite the heavy rain, there are no flood advisories or watches.
The metro area is expected to see a 60% chance of rain through the night before clearing up. Rain is expected once again on Tuesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service of Albuquerque.
The rain could be heavy, Morton said.
