Person in critical condition after being shot in the South Valley

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting in the South Valley on Monday.
Deputies responded to a call of a shooting near Bridge and La Vega SW. A person was transported to University of New Mexico Hospital in critical condition, according to a BCSO social media post.
“Our Violent Crime Unit is investigating and awaiting an update on the victim’s condition,” the post said.
BCSO said more information will be released “as it becomes available.”
