No one was reported injured after a tanker truck partially fell off an Interstate 25 bridge near Coal Avenue Monday afternoon.

Just before 2 p.m., Albuquerque Fire Rescue and the Albuquerque Police Department responded to a collision involving a tow truck and tanker truck, AFR spokesperson Jason Fejer said. When they arrived, they found the tanker truck blocking traffic and partially hanging off a bridge, he said.

Neither driver was injured, Fejer said.

"New Mexico State Police assisted with the hazard investigation, and it was determined that the fuel tank that the truck was carrying was empty," APD spokesperson Franchesca Perdue said in a news release.

The cause of the crash is unclear.

"Multiple heavy wreckers were on scene along with New Mexico Department of Transportation's heavy equipment to secure, stabilize and separate the vehicles," Fejer said.

There was some damage to the road's Jersey barrier, he said, but no damage to the bridge's structure.
