Tow truck drivers raise awareness, memorialize BCSO sergeant killed during traffic stop crash
Tow truck drivers from Central New Mexico organized a memorial to honer Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Michael Schlattman’s and bring awareness New Mexico's slow down, move over law at Bernalillo County Sheriff Office East Area Command on Sunday, Mar. 1, 2026. Schlattman died after he was hit by a semi-trailer on Feb. 23. His funeral is at 10 a.m. Monday at the Rio Rancho Events Center.Jessica Baca/Journal
