After a car chase on Thanksgiving Day, police arrested two suspects in the alleged armed robbery of a gas station in Santa Fe, according to the Santa Fe Police Department.

Geronimo Vigil, 37, is charged with robbery, aggravated fleeing a law enforcement officer, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, felon in possession of a firearm and auto theft, among other charges.

Mariah King, 24, faces a felony robbery charge and a misdemeanor charge for resisting arrest.

Santa Fe police said there was a third suspect involved in robbery and car chase, but the man “fled the scene and remains at large.”

Just past 11 a.m. on Thursday, police responded to a triggered panic alarm at a gas station in the 3900 block of Rodeo Road, SFPD said in a news release. Witnesses told police that a masked man robbed the store at gunpoint and left in a silver Dodge Ram truck shortly after.

Police found the truck several miles away on Beckner Road and tried to pull the vehicle over, the release states. A chase ensued, in which Vigil, reportedly, drove into oncoming traffic on Jemez Road.

Officers followed Vigil to a neighborhood on Dail Circle, where Vigil crashed the truck into another vehicle parked in a front yard, according to the release. King, Vigil and another man ran from the truck.

Police arrested King at the scene, the release states. Later, State Police and Santa Fe officers used drones to find Vigil hiding in a nearby shed.
