President Joe Biden said he would not PARDON HIS SON, but he has done just that. Wasn’t it the Democrats saying that no one is above the law? Democrats have placed themselves above the law and Biden’s historical legacy is now in ruins — if he ever had one. GVA

So, President Joe Biden has PARDONED his son, Hunter. Will his reputation after he leaves office be sullied? Probably so. Biden made a trade: His legacy for peace of mind knowing that son Hunter was now safe from overzealous prosecution. Biden did it and would again. EJG

So, President JOE BIDEN pardons his wayward son after being convicted of breaking the law. The shame that should follow such an outrage is eased by the sure expectation that Hunter will again break the law, and dear old dad may be distracted by his own impeachment to help junior. JG

President Joe Biden’s retroactive and future PARDON of his son, which was fully expected despite his many promises to not do so, reflects the corruption and lawlessness that has taken over D.C. For the President-elect Donald Trump haters out there, this is precisely why Trump swept this election as he did in 2016. GH

The governor and ABQ mayor need to stay out of redevelopment of EXPO NEW MEXICO currently under discussion. Collectively, they had done enough damage to New Mexico with their sanctuary-like efforts that have directly degraded our society. JPO

Now we know what sustainable electrical power means: unsustainable cost increases. So much for the SOLAR AND WIND sources for “free” electrical power. How about lower cost electrical power generation, or is that asking too much? GT

SUSTAINABLE ENERGY needs a helping hand. Wind and solar technologies aren’t yet feasible with current consumption. If we want to preserve having a winter season, investing in nuclear energy with modern reactors may aid in the U.S. being able to export power while supporting emission decreases. AJ

Over 80% of seized FENTANYL entering U.S. ports is carried by U.S. citizens. President-elect Donald Trump will place tariffs on Mexico until they stop drugs crossing. Tariffs will just raise money, which he needs to give wealthy friends big tax cuts, causing inflation for consumers. Shame. AH

Regarding “Company that manages city-owned residences gets extended deal” (Nov. 3 Journal): The city owns eight apartment complexes? Why is the city dabbling in real estate development? The money would be better spent on the CITY INFRASTRUCTURE, improving police response time, which would reduce crime, panhandling, those things taxpayers expect their tax dollars to be spent on. MD

I really miss the days before ZERO FARES when ABQ Ride buses were generally clean on the inside. I have ridden public transit in eight different states, and our current bus conditions are the most dirty and dingy I have experienced. BV
