SpeakUp!: The Democrat cry of family separation is just a manufactured problem
New Mexicans can expect to hear the cry of “FAMILY SEPARATION” endlessly spewed by Gov. MLG and other desperate Democrats over the weeks and months ahead. It’s a fake concern, a manufactured cause. Don’t be conned by tears from the open border deniers. SC
Our family wanted to thank the crew that recently groomed the ELENA GALLEGOS hiking trails. The trails were much easier to hike, and we appreciate that the dog poop was cleaned up. We also like the installation of the parking stations, too. Kudos to you. AMM
Novel concept: Put CRIMINALS IN JAIL and keep them there. How hard is that? DPS
The United States wasn’t worthy of President JIMMY CARTER‘s presidency. He was ahead of his times, judging by the result of this last presidential election, the U.S. is still not worthy of such a broadminded and humanitarian leader. CO

Regarding: “Caregivers should disclose vaccine status” (Dec. 29, Sunday Journal): I, as a hospice-at-home registered nurse, understand the frustration with people’s lack of consideration for others by their choice to not receive VACCINES and by not informing others, or that they have been exposed to these diseases and are showing symptoms. The door swings both ways unfortunately, Marla. RS
I am glad the city of Albuquerque is fining folks for dangerous weeds and leaves in their yards. Now, set off fireworks and shoot off guns in the middle of the night, TERRORIZING PEOPLE, domestic pets and wildlife is perfectly acceptable. Nature? Not in Albuquerque. LV
Watched the ROSE BOWL game last Thursday, a game I watch just about every year since 1962. ESPN broadcast, total package, really stunk. Worst “show” I can ever recall. I actually missed Brent and Herb. JP
This session, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham will use her self-appointed unlimited power to disarm N.M. citizens. PUBLIC SAFETY won’t be enacted to deal with catch-and-release criminals, homeless or illegal immigrants. It’s a Democrat tool to take guns from law-abiding citizens. “Public safety” isn’t about crime, it’s about maintaining Democrat political power over constitutional freedoms. MM
Regarding “Saying ‘see you later’ to Sudafed” (Dec. 29, Sunday Journal): The article said that SUDAFED will be phased out and consumers who need to get a decongestant will have to head to the pharmacy counter for an alternative and provide a photo ID. If consumers have a photo ID, why can’t they use them to vote? DPP
