Hey Albuquerque, if we would like a no growth, crime-riddled, dumpster fire of a city, please REELECT MAYOR Tim Keller for a third term. MR

Bad week for higher education in New Mexico. Lobo basketball player sues University of New Mexico and coach Richard Pitino for not protecting players against alleged assault. New Mexico State University fires athletic director due to scandals, and Gov. MLG calls for Western New Mexico University regents to resign after approving GOLDEN PARACHUTE for outgoing president. TB

Regarding “Breaking into the market: Walter White’s house for sale” (Jan. 6 Journal): I just have one word concerning the $4 million price tag for “WALTER WHITE’S” house for sale: Greed. PAW

We pay our BernCo property TAXES FOR APS. So, why are teachers having to pay hundreds of dollars for supplies out of pocket? The Bernalillo County and the Governor’s Office need to explain that. MT

Regarding “It’s time to get real about renewables” (Dec. 5, Sunday Journal): In Ryan Yonk’s opinion in support of oil and gas, he fails to take into account the effects and COST OF CLIMATE CHANGE. He does not mention the loss of life and property due to the increase of deadly tornadoes, hurricanes and heat waves with droughts, crop damage, and coastal erosion, just to name a few. DW

Two words that should be mainstream for all political offices in 2025: TERM LIMITS. RF

California U.S. Sen. Adam Schiff, the worst person in politics, says KASH PATEL will cause more New Orleans-like attacks because he isn’t qualified to be the head of the FBI. How about blaming the current chief of doing a terrible job for the last four years? SS

If Democrats were genuinely concerned about stopping HUMAN TRAFFICKING, they would proclaim that Albuquerque and New Mexico were no longer sanctuaries for illegal immigrants, and they would cooperate with the federal agencies that will be enforcing our immigration laws starting on Jan. 20. RJB

In yet another “They’re eating the dogs” moment, President-elect Donald Trump is trying to blame the NEW ORLEANS motor vehicle tragedy on immigration issues at the border. The driver of the vehicle involved is a U.S. Army veteran born here in the U.S. EJG

I’m not sure which is worse, ABQ RIDE not knowing if, or when, buses aren’t running as listed, or knowing, and not caring enough, to reflect which known buses are not running on the app, allowing passengers to plan accordingly. BV

One very fast way of eliminating SEX TRAFFICKING in the city: Publish the names of those caught in the act. If the names of the 40 customers recently arrested were made public, the demand would drop dramatically. No customers — no business. GH

Regarding: “AG files to delay WNMU president’s payout” (Jan. 7 Journal): Good for Attorney General Raúl Torrez to halt Western New Mexico’s President JOE SHEPARD‘s nearly $2 million payout. With the abuse of his power and position, he should be paying WNMU back. MP

President JOE BIDEN has honored his administration with integrity and served the American people well. But once you find out “about these anti-Americans” who want “to destroy the U.S.,” if they exist, please tell us. Watch your back, the extreme right is gaining on you. MY

The idea that President Joe Biden would work to sell off valuable metal material expected to be used for the BORDER WALL by the next administration, for cheap, perfectly sums up his wasteful, dishonest and vindictive presidency. SO

So, some legislatures want to enshrine in the State Constitution the right to a CLEAN ENVIRONMENT. Sounds great, whose subjective definition of “clean” do we get to use? RS

Why doesn’t President-elect Donald Trump want to TAKE OVER RUSSIA, China or North Korea since he wants to expand our territory? Plus, he seems to like dictators. RD

Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham has kept in lock step with California by moving to ban gas vehicles, starting with RV vehicles. Is she in line with the water and fire failures of CA? Maybe, just maybe, California is not the DEMOCRAT MODEL to follow. I hope voters take note. GT

Shame on our three Democratic representatives for voting no on the Laken Riley Act, a GOP-led bill to require detention of undocumented migrants charged with certain crimes. GC
