Fascinating to see MAGA sycophants criticize REP. MELANIE STANSBURY, D-NM, for peacefully exercising her First Amendment rights. The irony is striking — where was this outrage during Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s, R-GA, disruptive verbal attacks on Former President Biden? Hypocrisy, anyone? AM

MELANIE STANSBURY, D-NM, did was called a “protest!” Our Founding Fathers engaged in lively protests throughout the early years of our country. So many “thinned-skinned” people like President Trump. It would be nice if Democrats could speak with the president, but if he doesn’t agree he will just shoot them down. Also, saying Democrats should “stow the hostility” should work both ways. DD

Republicans throw the word ENTITLEMENTS around as if it is a dirty word. What it means is that you are entitled to get money back from programs that you have paid into your entire working life. Are they going to refund that money? No, I didn’t think so. JH

As the 60 day LEGISLATIVE SESSION, commonly known as the circus, comes to a close, we are reminded that the voters have no say in this world of special interest. Lawyers, climate change addicts and pro-criminal advocates have more influence than we do. Perhaps we should speak a little louder. GH

The LEGISLATURE is considering several bills to create a more competitive business environment by reducing or eliminating the personal income tax. I support this effort, however, only a few folks would be motivated to move here due to the high crime, poor schools and lack of health care providers. WT

Why do N.M. STUDENTS fail? The responsibility for success or failure is the parents’. It’s not N.M.’s job to raise their children. No teacher or amount of money can take the place of a good or bad parent. Make them go to school and study. JN

The problem in AMERICAN EDUCATION is not the teachers or the subject matter but the upbringing by the parents of the children. With a 46% truancy rate in some N.M. schools, it’s obvious that the parents are not instilling and teaching the importance of education and studying. EN

ROUNDABOUT Rules: When entering, yield to vehicles already in the roundabout. Vehicles in the roundabout have the right-of-way. When in the roundabout, don’t stop to let other vehicles enter the circle, they yield to you. Proceed to your exit and take it. These intersections are efficient/safe if used properly. SR
