The POTUS, who was convicted for multiple felonies, pardoned a former sheriff who was convicted of trying to sell badges, a Las Vegas politician who stole money intended for a memorial dedicated to fallen police, and a pair of Georgia reality television stars who were convicted of bank fraud/tax evasion. The “Big Beautiful Bill” does it all! Increases the national debt and takes food away from hungry children. The Republicans and the administration want billionaires safe and secure. DZ

The current budget bill allows tax credits that helped with Affordable Care Act premiums to expire this year. This will raise health care insurance prices and cause millions of people to lose their coverage. The bill also changes the eligibility income for the Child Tax Credit, removing millions of children. Calling it the “One Big Beautiful Bill” is like saying “One Big Beautiful Skunk.” Odds are they both still stink overall and can leave a bad taste. DD

Now that we know Musk was allegedly using drugs heavily while illegally firing federal workers, stealing citizen’s sensitive data and damaging our agencies, will Congress investigate? Trump throws him a going away party because he’s a major donor and the American people suffer from the scandal. SN

How can we trust anything Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. says about health? Why did he publish a paper with fake sites and incorrect information intentionally. We should be able to trust the person in charge of health in America. No more! I have learned to not trust a word he puts out. SW

HHS Secretary Kennedy has forced his opinion about COVID-19 vaccine upon the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The recommendation now is that no children or pregnant women should receive the vaccine. This is Kennedy gambling with the health and safety of the entire U.S. population. If the experiment fails, disaster could be in the offing. DJO

At a recent town hall, as Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, tried to defend MAGA’s assault on Medicaid and SNAP, someone said “people will die” as a result of the cuts. Her response? “Well, we all are going to die.” MAGA doesn’t care about people who are hungry or need health care. EM

I have to chuckle when the Dems talk about “saving democracy,” when the party used an unelected politburo of advisors to run the country for the last four years. EC

Where is the abundance that New Mexico Democrats promised? Many people voted for it. NM is close to or right at the top of the country for violent crime, under-educated children, a nationally recognized departure of doctors, and now ballooning homelessness. It’s an abundance of misery. Why? Not enough focus groups? AN

Environmentalists seem to think they can have their cake and eat too. Efforts to eliminate oil and gas production in New Mexico would result in a $4 billion loss in state revenue creating a pickle for Democrats. They would be forced to reduce spending or raise taxes. We know how that works. GH

The clean fuel mandate is going to cost our citizens plenty. The other three states mandating this have gasoline prices higher than the U.S. average. Our single refiner sends most of the gasoline out to other markets. What incentives do they have to comply? DC

Many of our older neighborhoods are deteriorating because of lack of code enforcement regarding people turning their front yards into parking lots of three to five cars, removing most or all vegetation. Please, code enforcement, do something without requiring neighbors to complain and put themselves at risk. DC

Migrant stash house raid on May 31 demonstrates exactly why ICE must enforce our immigration laws. Human trafficking, drugs and other crimes are rampant and criminals profit. If someone is here illegally, they have broken our laws. Mayor Tim Keller refuses to comply with the laws and he needs to be voted out. CJ

A typical Keller situation. Barcelona Court, one of the nicest hotels in Albuquerque for years, is now a dump. That didn’t happen overnight, but over years. Where were city inspectors? Giving vouchers to people in need isn’t enough. You’ve got to follow up and see how they’re doing. SS

Just heard Sandoval County district attorney is not charging the JV player for urinating in a water jug earlier this spring at Rio Rancho High School. That figures. NMAA is not the only entity that enables bad behavior from these spoiled kids, now law enforcement is too. Passing the buck to the Legislature. BR
