The Albuquerque Baseball Academy was eliminated late Tuesday night at the Connie Mack World Series in Farmington.

ABA led D-BAT United from Texas 1-0 most of the way in a very late game Tuesday, but United scored five runs in the top of the seventh and beat ABA 5-1.

The loss spoiled a fantastic pitching performance from former Los Lunas High pitcher Matty Castillo, who tossed six innings of shutout ball, surrendering just three hits while striking out eight.

ABA had lost its first bracket game on Sunday night, 8-3 to Midland Southwest. ABA scored the first three runs.

The CMWS runs through the rest of the week, with the championship game set for Saturday.
