La Cueva junior Braiden Reynolds had a spectacular season for the Class 5A state champion Bears, and on Wednesday he received his biggest accolade.

MaxPreps.com named Reynolds, a star first baseman and pitcher for La Cueva, to its All-American second team as an infielder.

Reynolds drove in a nation-leading 69 runs for the Bears last season, a number that was also a New Mexico state record. The right-hander also won 10 games on the mound for La Cueva.
