Combat sports: Weights, viewing info for Saturday night

Three Albuquerque fighters weighed in successfully on Friday for their fights on Saturday.

Boxer Abraham Perez (11-0, 6 knockouts) weighed in at the flyweight limit of 112 pounds for his scheduled eight-round bout against Mexico’s Angel Geovanny Meza Morales (9-3-3, six KOs) at the El Paso County Coliseum.

Meza Morales weighed in at 111.6 pounds.

On the same card, Albuquerque’s Andres Rey (5-0, one KO) weighed in at 133.1 pounds for his six-round lightweight bout against Gary Hampton (5-2, no KOs) of Fort Worth, Texas. Hampton weighed 133 pounds even.

Saturday’s card is scheduled to be streamed on a pay-per-view basis ($19.99) on bxngtv.com, starting at 7 p.m.

In Nashville, Tennessee, Albuquerque MMA fighter Steve Garcia (17-5) weighed in at 146 pounds, the featherweight limit for non-title fights, for his fight against Calvin Kattar (23-9).

Kattar, of Methuen, Massachusetts, also weighed 146.

Saturday’s UFC Fight Night card is scheduled to be televised on ESPN and streamed on espn+. Garcia-Kattar is on the main card, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
