Five inducted into New Mexico Sports Hall of Fame

Michael Sinclair, a small-school football All-American at Eastern New Mexico (1987-90), played 11 years in the NFL with Seattle and Philadelphia.

Fredd Young, a New Mexico State linebacker (1981-83) who in seven years in the NFL with Seattle and Indianapolis was twice voted All-Pro and was a four-time Pro Bowler.

Hobbs native Roy Cooper, a world champion rodeo calf roper, on Sunday was posthumously inducted into the New Mexico Sports Hall of Fame after dying unexpectedly in April. Clif Cooper and other family members were in Albuquerque to represent their father. Roy Cooper's sons Clif, Tuf and Clint are all champion calf ropers.

• Sports agent Steve Loy (Sandia High School, Eastern New Mexico)

• Paralympics gold medalist Alana Nichols (Farmington)

• Former NFL football player Michael Sinclair (ENMU)

• Former NFL football player Fredd Young (New Mexico State).
