Five questions with new Lobo Milos Vicentic
McKendree forward Milos Vicentic, right, drives as Northwestern forward Blake Preston defends during a Nov. 1, 2023 exhibition game in Evanston, Ill. Vicentic, a D-II All-American in the 2023-24 season who was injured for almost the entirety of the 2024-25 season, has transferred to UNM for the 2025-26 season.
Milos Vicentic, a 6-foot-7 forward and former Division II All-American, committed on Friday to play basketball for the UNM Lobos this coming season.
Vicentic spent the season on the UC San Diego roster coached by new UNM coach Eric Olen, but played just 20 minutes before suffering a season-ending foot injury in the first game.
Now, with the Lobos, the graduate transfer from Belgrade, Serbia, is looking forward to finally playing for Olen.
The Journal reached out to Vicentic on Friday via social media and Saturday got answers to some questions aimed at giving Lobo fans insight into the player they’ll be watching in the Pit.
