Holly Holm loses by 2nd-round submission

In Las Vegas, Nevada, Brazil's Mayra Bueno Silva caught Albuquerque's Holly Holm with a second-round standing guillotine choke, handing Holm a costly defeat on a UFC Fight Night Card at UFC Apex.
The loss seriously damages Holm's chances of getting a shot at the vacant UFC bantamweight title, a belt she once held and has campaigned the past seven years in hopes of regaining it.
Holm is now 15-7, 8-7 in UFC competition. Bueno Silva is 11-2-1, eight of her victories coming by submission.
