Ice Wolves: NA3HL team will host Brahmas in division semifinals
Defensemen Edward Gregorin (98) and the Ice Wolves play the Texas Brahmas in South Division semifinals beginning Friday at the Outpost Ice Arenas.
The Ice Wolves NA3HL team will host the Texas Brahmas in a best-of-three series in the South Division semifinals in the fight for the Fraser Cup. The teams are set to play Friday and Saturday evening, and Sunday afternoon if needed.
Over the course of the regular season, the Ice Wolves went 5-1 against the Brahmas, sweeping them at home in November and going 2-1 against them in Texas in February.
LAST WEEK: The Ice Wolves finished their regular season two weeks ago, sweeping the El Paso Rhinos with one game in El Paso and two in Albuquerque. They finished the week scoring 20 points in the three games. Darren Banks earned his 100th win as head coach during the series.
RECORDS AND STANDINGS: The Ice Wolves come into playoffs sitting in second place of the South Division with a 37-6-2-2 record. The Brahmas are third in the division with a 34-11-2-0 record.
PLAYER TO KNOW: Ice Wolves’ Jack Arnold was recently recognized as defenseman of the month for February. In addition to being a strong presence in the defensive zone, Arnold put up 11 points over the month.
DETAILS: The puck drops at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and if needed at 2 p.m. Sunday, at the Outpost Ice Arenas.
