Albuquerque took the 9-1 loss to Tacoma on Tuesday night, in a shortened game that was stopped by the officials after the sixth inning.

But it wasn't rain, or lightning, or one of those Springtime hail storms the Duke City commonly experiences. No, this game was called off due to bad air quality, according to the team's social media accounts.

"Due to poor air quality, the remainder of tonight’s game has been called," the Isotopes announced on X. "It is an official game, and the Rainiers win 9-1 in six innings."

The Isotopes rain check policy is in effect for this game (dated May 13) and fans are encouraged to hold onto their tickets.

More information can be found at the team website, mllb.com/albuquerque.

In the game, Isotopes starting pitcher Tanner Gordon went 5.2 innings. He gave up eight runs on 12 hits with one strikeout.
