Wysong caught a career- and team-best 69 passes for 840 yards and one touchdown this season, earning second team All-Mountain West honors. The 5-foot-10, 184-pound redshirt junior is the first Lobo to haul in 800-plus receiving yards in a season since Deon Long did so in 2011.
The Cleveland High School graduate and Rio Rancho native would leave UNM with 134 career receptions, 1,465 yards and three touchdowns in four seasons. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
Wysong is one of seven Lobos with reported plans of entering the transfer portal before it opens on Monday. Players can enter the portal and withdraw at any time from Dec. 9 to Dec. 28.
When reached by the Journal, Wysong did not immediately respond for comment.
