Popular Bob's Week 10 NFL Forecast: Can the top teams rebound from a bizarre Week 9?
It's been a largely bizarre season in the NFL, with last week's victory by Carolina over Green Bay as a 13-point underdog the most surprising.
This week the Packers look to snap back in their Monday night game against Philadelphia at Lambeau in arguably the game of the week. The underdog looks good.
Here's a look at all of Week 10's games:
THURSDAY
Las Vegas Raiders (2-6) at Denver Broncos (7-2), 6:15 p.m.
Broncos -9 (42 O/U)
Forecast: Broncos 30, Raiders 13
Vegas QB Geno Smith, tied for the league high with 11 INTs, is the type of passer the Broncos look forward to facing. And with Denver's defense leading with 40 sacks, Smith surely will make up-for-grabs throws.
SUNDAY
---> Atlanta Falcons (3-5) vs. Indianapolis Colts (7-2), 7:30 a.m., Berlin
Colts -6 (48 O/U)
Forecast: Colts 27, Falcons 17
Indy is coming off its worst game, a 27-20 loss at Pittsburgh in which it had six turnovers — two more than in its previous seven games. There's little chance of that happening again.
---> NY Giants (2-7) at Chicago Bears (5-3), 11 a.m.
Bears -3.5 (47 O/U)
Forecast: Bears 23, Giants 21
Chicago has relied heavily on turnovers, with their record at 1-3 when not having a plus-3 margin. NYG stays close.
---> Buffalo Bills (6-2) at Miami Dolphins (2-7), 11 a.m.
Bills 9.5 (50 O/U)
Forecast: Bills 41 Dolphins 20
Buffalo has gone 14-1 against Miami since 2018. The Bills' only loss was 21-19 in 2022 despite running 90 plays. It's the most snaps in regulation for anyone the past five years.
---> Baltimore Ravens (3-5) at Minnesota Vikings (4-4), 11 a.m.
Ravens -4 (48.5 O/U)
Forecast: Ravens 23, Vikings 10
QB Lamar Jackson returned last week and guided Baltimore to a 28-6 win over Miami. As for Minnesota, QB J.J. McCarthy deserves only lukewarm kudos. He averaged a Week 9-low 3.8 yards per drop-back in a 27-24 win over Detroit.
---> Cleveland Browns (2-6) at NY Jets (1-7), 11 a.m.
Browns -2.5 (37.5 O/U)
Forecast: Browns 17, Jets 16
If there's going to be another tie game this season this would be it, for Cleveland is winless in three road games and NYJ is 0-5 at home.
---> New England Patriots (7-2) at Tampa Bay Bucs (6-2), 11 a.m.
Bucs -2.5 (48.5 O/U)
Forecast: Buc 26, Patriots 19
The Bucs are playing at home off a bye against a Patriots team that's allowed an NFL-high 12 sacks the past two weeks and hasn't had a week's break since opening camp.
---> New Orleans Saints (1-8) at Carolina Panthers (5-4), 11 a.m.
Panthers -5.5 (39.5 O/U)
Forecast: Panthers 35, Saints 13
---> Jacksonville Jaguars (5-3) at Houston Texans (3-5), 11 a.m.
Texans -1.5 (38 O/U)
Forecast: Jaguars 24, Texans 13
Houston QB C.J. Stroud was in concussion protocol at midweek.
---> Arizona Cardinals (3-5) at Seattle Seahawks (6-2), 2:05 p.m.
Seahawks -6.5 (45.5 O/U)
Forecast: Seahawks 31, Cardinals 13
Seattle has seven straight wins in the series despite being an underdog in five. Arizona, meanwhile, is coming off a MNF victory at Dallas and will hit the road again Sunday. It's one of only two times this year a road MNF team plays away again on short rest.
---> LA Rams (6-2) at San Francisco 49ers (6-3), 2:05 p.m.
Rams -3.5 (49.5 O/U)
Forecast: Rams 31, 49ers 17
Five weeks ago SF earned what was then the biggest upset of the season, beating LA as an 8-point underdog. That's been a recent trend in this series. LA won the three previous meetings all as a dog.
---> Detroit Lions (5-3) at Washington Commanders (3-6), 2:25 p.m.
Lions -9 (49.5 O/U)
Forecast: Lions 45, Commanders 17
This is a rematch of Washington's 45-31 win at Detroit in the wild-card round as an 8-point dog. Only this time Commanders QB Jayden Daniels (dislocated elbow) won't play.
---> Pittsburgh Steelers (5-3) at LA Chargers (6-3), 6:20 p.m.
Chargers -2.5 (45 O/U)
Forecast: Steelers 23, Chargers 21
In Pittsburgh's 20-10 victory over LAC last season it held Justin Herbert to a season-low 125 passing yards. Then last week the Chargers won despite Herbert getting sacked six times. He could have another long day.
MONDAY
---> Philadelphia Eagles (6-2) at Green Bay (5-2-1), 6:15 p.m.
Packers -1 (45 O/U)
Forecast: Eagles 24, Packers 17
Philadelphia, coming off a bye, showed off a robust running game with Saquon Barkley and Tank Bigsby gaining 100 yards apiece in Week 8. This also is another playoff rematch from last year, when GB's Jordan Love equaled his career high with three INTs.
