The busiest month in prep recruiting is over.
How did the Lobos fare?
New Mexico landed commitments from 16 prep prospects — including six three-star recruits — from the class of 2026 over the course of June, perhaps the program’s most active recruiting month since head coach Jason Eck was hired last December.
The Lobos now have the ninth-ranked class of 2026 in the 12-team Mountain West; Boise State has the highest-rated class after 18 three-star prospects committed to the Broncos.
The Lobos got commitments from two more 2026 recruits in early July — Cibola High School linebacker Hayes Baum and Bishop Gorman (Nevada) wide receiver Massiah Mingo, a three-star recruit.
