After closing a pair of dominant regular seasons, New Mexico men's and women's cross country are set to compete for conference titles Friday at the Mountain West Championships in Fresno, Calif.

Racing at Woodward Park, the men's and women's championships start Friday at 10 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. MT, respectively. Both of UNM's teams were picked to win back-to-back championships in a league poll released Wednesday.

Reigning national runner-up Pamela Kosgei is also set to make her season debut for the Lobos at the Mountain West Championships. A two-time NCAA champion, the sophomore competed in the 3,000-meter steeplechase for the Kenyan senior national team last month at the World Athletic Championships in Tokyo.
