Hayes Baum, sr., QB, Cibola
Baum gets more run for his work at linebacker, but in a 46-24 win over Sandia on Thursday, he rushed for 167 yards and four touchdowns for the Cougars.
Danny Amaro, sr., RB, Las Cruces
Amaro is running amok in the early stages of this season. In a victory over Volcano Vista, he rushed 16 times for 210 yards and scored four touchdowns against the Hawks.
Evan Nañez, soph., WR/RB, Cleveland
Nañez’s versatility and explosiveness were on full display against Los Lunas, as he surpassed 100 yards both as a running back and wide receiver for the top-ranked Storm. He scored three touchdowns.
Bryce Parra, sr., RB, Artesia
Parra is proving to be a vital weapon, and on Friday in a wild win over Hobbs, he rushed for 125 yards and a score, had 92 receiving yards with a score, and also returned a kickoff for a touchdown.
Micah Takahashi, jr., QB, Rio Rancho
He was 15-for-18 for 181 yards with four touchdowns, and he also rushed for a TD in the Rams’ lopsided victory over Clovis.
Jordan Herrera, jr., RB, Los Alamos
Herrera is off to a monster start in 2025. On Thursday versus Taos, he rushed for 254 yards and scored four touchdowns in a Hilltoppers’ victory.
Daryn Pacheco, sr., RB, Santa Rosa
Pacheco scored two offensive touchdowns, intercepted two passes, and recorded three, 2-point conversions as the Lions defeated Jal.
CJ Granados, jr., QB, Dexter
Granados proved his dual-threat worth, threw for 137 yards on just five completions, and a touchdown, and he rushed for three additional scores as the Demons won on the road at West Las Vegas.
Jasper Nelson, sr., RB, Santa Fe
Nelson went off in a road win at Belen on Friday, rushing for 268 yards and six touchdowns in a 39-26 victory.
Mario Romero, jr., RB, Moriarty
Romero scored from 74 yards on the opening kickoff, and he also rushed for 101 yards and touchdown runs of 39 and 47 yards as the Pintos rolled past Shiprock.
