To say it was a wild game would be an understatement.

Albuquerque managed a 15-14 victory in 12 innings over visiting Tacoma on Friday night after a Keston Hiura double scored Sterlin Thompson from second base for the Isotopes' second walk-off in as many nights.

The contest was action-packed from the start. It included: five wild pitches, two players who were one hit away from completing the cycle in Tacoma's Cole Young (needed a single) and Thompson (needed a home run), 16 different pitchers, four hours and six minutes of game time, a hit-by-pitch — Adonis Medina hit Hiura in the seventh inning — a pick-off at first base, five errors, 21 hits surrendered by the starting pitchers, 104 at-bats, three defensive substitutions, two intentional walks and one ejection.

Rainiers' manager John Russell was ejected in the fourth inning by first base umpire Mark Bass after a bloop-single from Thompson loaded the bases.

That wasn't the only time Thompson caused trouble for the Rainiers. At the plate, he took full advantage of the extra at-bats, going 5-for-7 with four runs (including the game-winner) and two RBI. His hits included a double and triple.

Hiura, Sam Hilliard and Warming Bernabel all had three hits. Bernabel also scored three of the Isotopes runs.

Albuquerque reliever Diego Castillo took the mound in the 11th inning. He gave up one run on one hit and one walk, and was credited with his second win of the year.

The Isotopes will be hosting a City Roots themed-night against the Rainiers on Saturday. First pitch is at 6:35 p.m. at Isotopes Park.
