New Mexico football has opted in to releasing an availability report ahead of Saturday’s matchup at No. 14 Michigan.

The Mountain West announced earlier this month that all 12 league programs are required to identify players who will or could miss league contests. MW teams have the option to release availability reports ahead of nonconference games but are not required to do so.

UNM is expected to file an availability report for all four of its nonconference games and are the only league member to file an availability report this week.

The first report is filed two days before each game; no injury designations will be given. A second report will be posted for each team (with any changes) three hours prior to kickoff.

Here’s who was listed on UNM’s first report:

Out

WR Shawn Miller Out (Full Game)

DL Darren Agu Out (Full Game)

RB Darrion Bowers Out (Season)

WR Evan Wysong Out (Season)

CB Keith Reddix Out (Season)

Questionable

WR Kader Diop Questionable

S Chris Gant Jr. Questionable

RB Rei Iwai Questionable

OL Nevell Brown Questionable

Journal analysis: Miller is the only player poised for a starting role listed here; he was observed out of pads and not participating in practice this week. And after Eck said the Lobos will probably play only four receivers against Michigan, expect Isaiah Blair to be the fourth if Diop isn’t good to go.

A possible Brown absence might mean that Tyler Lawrence picks up the majority of reps at right tackle. But at least toward the end of camp, it seemed like Lawrence had an increasingly firm grip to start there anyway — we’ll see how much (or if) the Lobos end up rotating Saturday.

As for the rest? Nothing unexpected: Bowers, a freshman from Arlington, Texas, suffered a torn ACL earlier this year. Wysong has been rehabbing after offseason surgery. Agu, a Vanderbilt transfer from London, is still stuck in his home country due to visa issues. Eck said the defensive lineman is “making progress towards the process” of returning. “For a long time, there was no process,” Eck added Tuesday. “So it’s good to at least have something.”
