Amelia Ann Wallace Amelia Ann Wallace, of Albuquerque, NM passed away peacefully at her home on May 25, 2025, at the remarkable age of 104. Amelia was born on April 1, 1921 in the ranching community of La Pintada, NM. She was the sixth of nine children born to Jose Alcario, Sr. and Faustina Garcia Martinez. She attended school in Santa Rosa, NM and later at Highlands University in Las Vegas, NM. She met and married Gilbert A. Wallace of Wagon Mound, NM and had three children Alex, Eric and Genie. She lived in Santa Rosa, Denver, Las Vegas, Santa Fe, Espanola and Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert and her son Eric Wallace. She is survived by her son and daughter Alex J. Wallace (Pamela) of Plainfield, IL, Genie Wallace of Albuquerque, her grandchildren Scott Wallace (Nicole) of Arlington Heights, IL and Alaric Lopez of Albuquerque, Jilian Lopez (Thomas) of Las Vegas, NV, Addy Lopez of Albuquerque, Sinead Lopez of New York, NY, Fred Lorek (Ivete) of Bartlett, IL and great-grandchildren Romola and Rhys Kenny, and Freddy and Anthony Lorek, and her beloved family dog Hiroshi. Amelia was a lifelong practitioner of her Catholic faith; she was a member of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish and was active in the Rosary Altar Society. Among her favorite passions were traveling with her children, playing board games and solving crossword puzzles. The following services will honor and celebrate Amelia's life: A Rosary recitation on Tuesday, June 10th, 2025 at 6:00 pm at French Mortuary Westside, 9300 Golf Course Road NW, ABQ, NM 87114. Please join us for refreshments and memorial photos following the Rosary. A Christian Burial Mass, on Wednesday, June 11th, 2025 at 9:00 am at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW, ABQ, NM 87105. Interment to be held on Thursday, June 12th, 2025 at 10:00 am at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM. We wish to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Ambercare/Addus and their employees for the care and support provided to the Wallace family.
