Anselmo E. Gutierrez Sr. Anselmo E. Gutierrez Sr.,
Anselmo E. Gutierrez Sr. Anselmo E. Gutierrez Sr., Prominent, Longtime General Contractor, Custom Home Builder, and Businessman, passed away in his home October 26, 2025. Born in Clovis, NM 08/03/1941 to Anselmo Samora Gutierrez and Esmeralda Grace Gutierrez. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brothers: Edward, Ramon, and Daniel Gutierrez, as well as his daughter, Cindy Gutierrez and her daughter, his granddaughter, Marisol Sanchez. Anselmo had 3 Children, Edward A. Gutierrez, Cynthia A. Gutierrez, and Anselmo E. Gutierrez Jr. Anselmo served in the US Navy from 1959 till 1962. Honorably discharged he returned to live in Albuquerque, becoming a Brick Layer. In 1967, he earned his GB-98 General Contractors License. He completed Projects all over New Mexico and Albuquerque for our National Labs, APS, City of Albuquerque, DOD and Air Force Installations, and NM Air National Guard. He is survived by his two sons: Edward and Anselmo Jr., as well as Grandchildren: Antoinette Nasser, Matthew Sanchez, their spouses, Kareem Nasser and Andrea Sanchez, Great-Grandchildren: Nazarene Nasser, Sebastian Nasser, Kayleigh Nasser, and Matthew and Andrea Sanchez, Children: Jovanna and Wyatt Sanchez. Memorial service will be held on November 20, 2025, 2pm at Direct Funeral Services Chapel, 2919 4th Street NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107.
