Scott Sylvester Scott Sylvester, 58, was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His memorial is at Veterans Memorial Park, 950 Pinetree Rd SE 87124, Rio Rancho, NM on Saturday, May 10th, 2025, 11:00 AM. Scott was a graduate of Immanuel Lutheran School and Cibola High School. He was a master woodworker and artist. Cabinets and gates Scott built are in homes throughout New Mexico. He also worked with Rainbow Riders for years, helping people make their bucket list of riding in a hot air balloon come true. His most tremendous pride was in his two sons and his granddaughters. He also loved volunteering with Special Olympics as a coach and partner. Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Naomi Hillis Sylvester. He is survived by his father, Warren Sylvester (Janice), his sons, Michael Sylvester (Gabrielle) and Nicholas Sylvester, and his two granddaughters, Lilah and Lily. Also, he is survived by his two sisters Deborah Blair (Brian), Cynthia Sylvester (Kim), and his nephew Thomas (Stephanie). Scott also has many family members and extended family that he loved. We will remember Scott for his kind heart, his unique artistry and cooking, his dance moves and fantastic sense of humor. Scott was deeply involved in Special Olympics throughout the years, especially with the Rio Rancho Rockets, Albuquerque Dukes, and Westside Wonders teams.
