Carol A. Smith Carol A. Smith, 87, of Piqua, Ohio, passed away Friday evening, October 24, 2025, at Vancrest Upper Valley. She was born July 27, 1938, in East Chicago, Indiana, to the late Charles Ralph and Dorothy Christine (Hunter) Fanno. She married Raymond D. Smith; he survives. She will also be missed and remembered by her three daughters, Debbie Cross of Sulphur, La., Joyce (Jerry) Yancy of Oxford, Ala. and Susan (Russell) Griego of Bosque Farms, N.M.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Robert Fanno. Carol worked as a secretary for Graebel Van Lines. She volunteered in hospitals and for the Red Cross throughout her life. When living in New Mexico, she was an active member of the Sweet Adelines chorus. Private services for her family will be conducted through Moore Funeral Home, Covington, Ohio.
