Charles "Chuck" Edward Highum March 9, 1950 - November 3, 2025 Charles "Chuck" Edward Highum, 75, of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, passed away November 3, 2025. Born March 9, 1950, in Richmond, Virginia, to James G. Highum Sr. and Myrtle Lou (Childerss) Highum, Chuck grew up in northern Minnesota and Albuquerque, New Mexico, graduating from Manzano High School in 1968. He proudly served two combat tours in Vietnam, and later established Coyote Tile Designs. He is survived by his children Carrie Jo Nelson (Angelo Martinez) of Farmington, NM; Amy Hill of Farmington, NM; Jenny Highum (Jay Diffey) of Pagosa Springs, CO; and Jerrod Highum of Seattle, WA; brother John Highum; nephews Jonathan Highum, Paul J. Highum; nieces Christine Highum, Holly Highum, Gwynne Highum-McMurry; grandchildren Noelle Phillips, Parker Hill, Spencer Hill, Riley Hill, Zachary Nelson, Olivia Diffey, Talbot Diffey, Evelyn Diffey; and great-grandson Korben Phillips. Preceded in death by parents James G. Highum Sr. and Myrtle Lou Highum; brother James G. Highum Jr.; sister Nancy Ellen Highum-Berry; brother Paul Steven Highum; niece Renee Berry; and nephew Timothy Highum. A service with military honors will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Wednesday, November 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
