Claudio "Clyde" Q. Padilla It is with great sadness that the family of Claudio "Clyde" Q. Padilla announces his passing on October 23, 2025, at the age of 79. Clyde was born on June 2, 1946, in Santa Fe New Mexico. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1967 and served in the Vietnam War. Following his military service, Clyde built a long and respected career as a Machinist with Los Alamos Laboratories. He is survived by his loving wife, Connie Padilla of 13 years, his son Joseph Padilla, Granddaughter Brianna Padilla, Great-Grandson Oscar Figueroa Jr.; Stepsons Phillip and Jesse Maya; and Stepdaughters Jenny Maze, and Mona Maya. Clyde was a grandfather and great-grandfather to 37 children of the Maya family. He is survived by his brother, Abraham Padilla and sister Marylu Martinez. Clyde is preceded in death by his parents, Serafin and Desideria Padilla; his brothers Albert and Eddie Padilla and sister Angie Montoya. Clyde will be remembered for his kindness, humor, dedication, hard work, and unwavering love for his family and friends. He was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed. A celebration of Clyde's life will be held on Friday November 21, 2025. The services will be at 10:30a.m. at Grace Community Church in Santa Fe NM. Burial to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00p.m.
