David Nygard October 23, 1952-March 25, 2025 The passing of some people is noted, discussed and publicized. Others leave us quietly while the world goes on. David was one of the quiet ones, but his passing should be noted. He was much loved by his family, though mostly from a distance, and he is truly missed. An open heart and open hands were both David's strengths and weaknesses. He cared about people, and reached out to feed and shelter the homeless and alone. People sometimes took advantage, but it never reduced his capacity to love, often giving away almost all he had. The last years were difficult physically and mentally. The wife that he was lucky to find late in life struggled to keep him going, but his heart and breath finally gave way. David is survived by his wife Edorne, his daughter, two sisters, and all their families, and a friend of many years who "loved him like a brother". Rest in peace David Nygard. You are known, loved, and immeasurably missed.
