David R. Begeal David "Dave" Begeal, 84, passed away on June 25, 2025. He was born on a dairy farm near Hancock, NY. Dave had a distinguished technical career, retiring from Sandia National Laboratories after 37 years. He was known for his quiet strength, problem-solving mind, and deep commitment to family and faith. He married Betty Borling in 1969, and together they made Albuquerque their home, raising two children. He enjoyed nature, fishing, traveling, gardening, golfing, and woodworking. A devoted member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Dave served in many roles and loved singing in the choir. He is survived by his wife Betty; daughter Kathy Begeal (Bruno De las Casas); son Carl Begeal (Cindy Trujillo); grandchildren Luka, Viviana, Renee, and Rayna; and many beloved relatives. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 PM on July 12, 2025, at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9100 Menaul Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM.
