David R. Faulkner 8/23/1943 - 5/20/2025 Dave bid his final farewell, passing peacefully and quickly after a short illness. Dave was a true original, a curmudgeonly spirit with a heart of gold. He served for two years in the Navy Reserve before returning to school to earn his Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of New Mexico. He spent his career as a gifted graphic artist, known for his striking illustrations of cars. His passion for automobiles didn't end at the drawing board: Dave owned more cars than anyone could reasonably count and found joy in the thrill of amateur racing. He will be sorely missed by his many car-enthusiast buddies. He is survived by his son, Michael; daughter-in-law, Amanda; cherished granddaughter, Vivienne Mina; his sister, Susan Slates; and niece, Lisa Presley, and a circle of friends who understood his unique blend of sarcasm, smarts, and warmth. In honor of Dave's life and his love for animals, donations may be made to Animal Humane New Mexico or a charity of your choice.
