Dolores "Lola" Torrez 1934-2025 Dolores "Lola" Torrez, a lifelong resident of Adelino, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Oct. 10, 2025. She was born on Aug. 3, 1934, in Adelino, to Ernesto and Eufemia Chavira. Lola was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished member of the Tomà Catholic Church and active member of the 10 o'clock choir for many years. Her faith and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her. She dedicated many years of her life to caring for children at Tiny Tots Nursery in Belen, and also worked faithfully at Nino's Lumber, Tabet Lumber and RAKS Lumber and Hardware, where her kindness and hard work were deeply appreciated. She is survived by her beloved children, Juan Jose Johnny Torrez, Magdalen Perea, Leroy and Diane Torrez and Eufemia (Famie) and Ted Trujillo; her loving sisters, Aurora Sanchez and Eloisa Padilla; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, godchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Lola was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Torrez; her parents, Ernesto and Eufemia Chavira; her son, Ralph Torrez; her grandson, Juan Estevan; and her sister, Altagracia Chavira. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses and hospital staff at the Heart Hospital of New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center for their wonderful care and compassion for our beloved mother and nana. They also wish to express heartfelt thanks to the many friends and community members who have reached out with unwavering love and support during this time. Pallbearers will be TJ Trujillo, Jarod Perea, Jason Perea, LeRoy Torrez, Patrick Jaramillo and Gabe Perea. Honorary pallbearers will be Julie Ann Orrantia and Darlene Sanchez. Lola will be remembered for her faith, her kindness and the deep love she had for her family and community. Her presence will be profoundly missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
