Douglas Glenn Ford Douglas Glenn Ford, 71, passed away September 15, 2025 in Albuquerque, NM, following a short illness. He was born on June 23, 1954, to Keith and Rollande Ford in Detroit, Michigan. Doug graduated from Lake City High School in Lake City, MI, in 1972, after which he enlisted in the U.S Air Force. While he enjoyed working in avionics, he was granted enrollment in a commissioning program and graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1983 with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. He later earned a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. Doug retired from the Air Force in 1994. In 1995, he became a Program Manager for Honeywell Corporation at the Albuquerque Seismological Laboratory, until he retired in 2015. Doug loved playing golf, having played most of his life. He was a founding member of The Canyon Club at Four Hills, where he played six days a week. Other interests mostly centered around house chores and putzing in the garage with small projects. Doug is survived by his spouse/partner, Lumpai Norman; daughter, Jennifer (Marty) Jones and granddaughter, Ayva of St. Cloud, FL; sister, Nancy LaForest of Scottsdale, AZ; brother, David (Dawn) Ford of Lake City, MI; and sister, Elaine (John) Baker of Olney, MD; as well as two nieces and four nephews. He was blessed to be part of a blended family that included stepson, Tim (Erin) Norman, with grandchildren: Jake, Shelby, and Caroline of Columbus, MS; stepson, Andy (Katherine) Norman, with grandchildren: Kaylee, Adisyn, and Christopher of Albuquerque, NM - all of whom were very close to him. A private service with family will be held at a later date.
