Edwin Paul Lopez Edwin "Eddie" Paul Lopez, a cherished husband, father, and friend, passed away in Albuquerque, NM, on April 28, 2025. A proud graduate of Highland High School in 1971, Eddie enjoyed a fulfilling career at Sandia National Laboratories, retiring as a Member of the Technical Staff in 2011. An avid sports fan, he passionately supported the Lobos and the 49ers. Eddie found joy in the great outdoors, often spending his happiest days fishing and backpacking with family and friends. Known for his infectious humor and warm spirit, Eddie brought joy and laughter to everyone around him. He is reunited in eternal rest with his father, Aaron Lopez; and brother, David Lopez. Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Melinda; devoted mother, Theresa; children, Aaron, Lucas, and Emily; grandchildren, Adriana and Autumn; and siblings, Carol, Marty, Mark, and Sharon. A service to honor Eddie's life will be held at Second Presbyterian Church on May 17, 2025, at 10:30 AM. Eddie's legacy of love, laughter, and adventure will forever inspire those he leaves behind.
