Everet H. Beckner Dr. Everet Hess Beckner died peacefully on November 22, 2024, at the age of 89. Everet was born in Clayton, New Mexico, in 1935 to Elmer Hess and Ursla (Brown) Beckner. Everet was known for his intelligence, leadership, and determination, qualities that served him well throughout his personal and professional life. Everet's career included working for Sandia National Laboratories, Lockheed Martin, AWE in the UK, and TechSource, Inc. Everet also served two terms working in the United States Department of Energy. Everet had a deep appreciation for music and art and enjoyed vacationing and taking walks with his beloved wife Mary Caroline, who joined Everet for more walks and talks when she passed away on December 10, 2024. Everet is survived by his sons Gregory and Matthew as well as 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and many other dear family members. A celebration of life party to honor Everet and Caroline will be held on February 22, 2025 from 2:00-4:00PM at the Inn at Loretto in Santa Fe. The family invites all who knew Everet and Caroline to join in celebrating their lives and legacy.
