Fouad Jakiche Fouad Jakiche was born on April 23, 1932, in Damascus, Syria, and transitioned to Heaven peacefully in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Sunday, February 9, 2025. Fouad was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather. He married his beloved wife Marica in 1964 and recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration and had a successful career as a banker, accountant, and insurance agent, working diligently alongside his wife to provide a good life for their children. Fouad cherished family gatherings and especially enjoyed summers spent in Bloudan, a small village in Syria. A man of deep faith, he was a devoted Christian who spent much of his later years in prayer for his family, friends, and peace in the world. Fouad is survived by his loving wife Marica Chebat; their children Antoine, Nada, and Myriam; their grandchildren Anthony, Michael, Peter, and Sofia; and his sister Laila. Fouad was preceded in death by his parents Assaad and Muntaha, and his brothers George and Edward. A funeral service will be held at Saint George Greek Orthodox Church in Albuquerque on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 11:00 AM, followed by a burial ceremony at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint George Greek Orthodox Church in Albuquerque. Jesus said, "He who believes in me, though he may die, he shall live".
