Gerald L. Aguilar Gerald Lynn Aguilar 62, beloved son, brother and father died peacefully on July 3, 2025, at the family home in Ohkay Owingeh, NM. Gerald Lynn's spiritual context involved reading and reflecting on inspiring scriptures, praying and connecting with his higher power, and practicing forgiveness and letting go of resentment. He possessed inner fortitude, resilience and a positive outlook even when facing the many challenging circumstances and setbacks in life. He was no stranger to the rain, his unwavering faith and purpose implied a confidence in divine promises and an ability to persevere through trials, knowing that his spiritual strength came from above. He is proceeded in death by his brother Lloyd A. Aguilar and his grandparents Frank J. and Helen Cruze. Those left to cherish his memory include his mother Maria Mariano, brothers Mark Daniel and Leonard Aguilar, his two sons Patrick and Joseph of Isleta Pueblo, grandchildren, stepfather Ervin Mariano and many numerous close relatives of respective Pueblos. Funeral mass was held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Church in Ohkay Owingeh, following interment at the pueblo cemetery, and an eight-day mass held on July 10, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Church. The family of Gerald Lynn Aguilar extends its gratitude to the Ohkay Owingeh Tribal Council, Governor Ben Lujan and his administration, the Ohkay Owingeh Tribal Police Department, Amber Care Hospice and lastly the Hospital Care Team-ICU at Presbyterian Hospital Main-Albuquerque for their compassionate care and support to the very end of our beloved Gerald Lynn's life.
