Gilbert "Gil" Flores 1965-2025 Gilbert "Gil" Flores passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He was a devoted husband of 43 years, loving father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle and cherished friend. Services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 8, beginning with a visitation at 9:30 a.m., a Rosary at 10:30 a.m., and a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. Gilbert's warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew him. Gilbert had a loving heart and a laugh that will never be forgotten. He found joy in hunting, fishing and creating lasting memories with his sons, Patrick and David. His love for his daughter, Roxanne, was evident in the flowers he sent her every Valentine's Day. He adored his grandchildren, who always brightened his day. He never missed a chance to joke and share laughs with his kids and grandkids. Gilbert also made it a priority to call his mother daily; ensuring she was always up to date with the latest "news." Above all, he deeply loved his wife, Eileen, of 43 years (his high school sweetheart). He loved teasing her with affection and remaining devoted to her until the very end. His presence will forever be missed. After 25 years of dedicated service, Gilbert retired from the Central New Mexico Correctional Facility as a sergeant. That is where he developed many lasting friendships that he truly cherished. Gilbert is preceded in death by his father, Jose Albino Flores; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Gilbert is survived by his wife of 43 years, Eileen Archibeque Flores; children, Patrick (Suzie), David (Davrie) and Roxanne (Ruben); his mother, Sylvia Flores; brother, Michael Flores (Cyndi); grandchildren, Dominique (Bryson), Grace (Justin), Rylee, Ryan, Dylann, Luciano, Nehemiah, and Velaina; a great grandbaby due in October; in-laws, Richard and Augustina Archibeque; brother-in-law, Steve Archibeque (Carol); sister-in-law, Denise Hidalgo (Jerald); and one cousin he loved dearly, Denise Carrillo. He was a beloved godfather to Andrea, Andrew, Armando and Luciano. He will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
