Gloria G. Thais October 28, 1943 - August 22, 2025 With profound love and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Gloria Gallegos Thais, of Las Cruces, NM. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, integrity, and devotion to her family and to God. Born on October 28, 1943, to parents Andres Sr. and Libradita Gallegos in Socorro, NM. Gloria married the love of her life, Ernesto "Ernie" Thais. Together they were blessed with four daughters. Gloria was known for her love of God, family, music, and sports. Guests in her home were often treated to her playing guitar or singing, and she never hesitated to invite others to pray the rosary with her. She loved crocheting, spending time in the kitchen, and telling jokes that warmed the room. To her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, "GiGi" was a joyful and competitive spiritwhether in board games or outdoor play. Her greatest gift was bringing people together in faith and prayer. Every encounter ended with her blessing others, a rosary always in her pocket, and a crucifix worn close to her heart. Gloria was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ernie, grandson Randall, sisters Pauline, Nellie, Rita, and Rose, and brothers Johnny, Andy, James, Tony, Dick, Larry, Dennis, Luciano, and Santiago. She is survived by her daughters Donna "Lisa" (Robert), Laura (Rey), Linda (Everett), and Leanne; nine grandchildrenRyan, Jacob, Elias, Jessica, Michelle, Tifiny, Robert Paul, Rhiannon and Robert Jr.; and four great-grandchildrenElizabeth, Tyler, Makenzie, and Joshua. She is also remembered by many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends. Gloria's strength, faith, and perseverance were an inspiration to all who knew her. A devout Catholic, she faithfully attended Mass and shared her devotion through prayer and example. A private service will be held in Las Cruces, with interment at Virgen de Guadalupe Cemetery beside her husband, Ernie. May she rest in eternal peace, and may perpetual light shine upon her. Arrangements are entrusted to Baca's Funeral Chapels
