James Henry "Jim" Montman 1947-2025 Jim was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Mike and Betty. He moved to Albuquerque when he was three and graduated from Highland High in 1965. He is survived by his brothers, Curt (Carol) and Richard (Lisa). Jim married Carolyn Wilder in 1969. They had three children: Lisa Montman, Michelle Talley (Kevin), and Barbara Bennett (Steve), four grandchildren and one great-grand child. Jim earned his BS from NMSU and joined the Air Force after graduation, where he spent 26 years before retiring as a decorated Colonel. Jim became the Santa Fe Airport Manager, where he expanded the airport to accommodate commercial airlines, before retiring from the City of Santa Fe. Jim died on July 24, 2025 in Santa Fe surrounded by family. He will be interred at Santa Fe National Cemetery with full military honors.
