Jean Alta Lee Jean Alta Lee, 95, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2025, in Phoenix, AZ, surrounded by love. She now joins her beloved husband, AF Col (Ret) Kenneth H. Lee, her parents, brothers, and many cherished dogs and one cat who shared her heart. Born in Madison, Wisconsin in 1929, to Horatio and Clara Brigham, Jean grew up on a farm and later earned degrees in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She met Ken at Truax Field, and they married in 1956, building a life full of adventure as a military family. Japan and Alaska were among her favorite places before settling in Albuquerque, NM, in 1977. Jean was a devoted kindergarten teacher, Girl Scout leader, and antique enthusiast. She enjoyed bridge, golf, and time at Four Hills Country Club. Her greatest joy was her family: daughters Tracy and Kelly, and grandchildren Reilly and Brady. Jean is survived by her daughters, grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Jean will be laid to rest on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 1:30pm at Santa Fe National Cemetery followed by a reception at the family house.
