Jeyandran Gunasegaram Dr. Jeyandran ("Jey") Gunasegaram, 85,
Jeyandran Gunasegaram Dr. Jeyandran ("Jey") Gunasegaram, 85, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Born in Jaffna, Sri Lanka, Jey pursued a distinguished career as a urologist, practicing in Albuquerque and serving in leadership and teaching roles until his retirement in 1995. He is remembered for his dedication to medicine, education, and community service. He is survived by his children, Aruni, Marla (David Walker), and Jerry (Rachel Lukes); grandchildren Shehan, Leela, Ariana, and Liam; his brother Wimalaraj (Shanthi) and their children; niece Devamala; and many dear friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 2:00 pm at First Unitarian Church, 3701 Carlisle Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. His ashes will be placed in Albuquerque and at the gravesite of his parents at St. John's College in Jaffna, Sri Lanka. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Planned Parenthood or a social justice charity of your choice.
