Joe F. Rettinger Joe F. Rettinger, age 74, passed away on February 11, 2025. He was born on October 14, 1950, to Charles and Ines (Arballo) Rettinger in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Joe attended Highland High School and earned his BBA and MBA from Eastern New Mexico University. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Leslie Rettinger, son Ryan (Janie) and grandson Henry, daughters Cassandra Wilson and Tangelia McNair of the family home, his siblings Manny Rettinger, Anita Rettinger, and Linda Rettinger, nephew David (Sarah) and his sons Dawson, Coen and Torin Rettinger as well as an extended family of godchildren and loved ones: Nelson Smith (Devaun and Kameron), Kristina Whitmire (John, Karlie, Emily and Sarah), Dennis Beard (Nina and Tish), DeKare Beard, Heather Wallace (Raul, Ava, Jeremiah, Rebekah Howells and Summeranne Appleman), Laryn Hall (Cory and Halo), Renee Bisignano (O'Shay and Trevaun Toney), Julie Hershberger, AJ Kant (Amy, Rob, and Anita), Meagan Manning, Amber Matthewsen, Reggie McNair (Timahje, Timia, Jabar), and Daniel and Bunmi Olufemi (Salt, Light and Life). Joe was a financial planner who cared deeply about others. His ability to truly care led to many heart-to-heart conversations and lifelong friendships. He had a rare ability to get to the heart of a matter. His legacy of faith, integrity, love, fatherly wisdom, and practical counsel will be missed by all who knew and trusted him. A memorial service will be held on March 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Eastern Hills Baptist Church, 3100 Morris NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111.
