Jose Ortiz Jose (Joe) A. Ortiz was born June 11, 1932, in Nambe, New Mexico to Moises and Natividad Ortiz. They resided in Santa Fe, New Mexico. After honorably serving 4 years in the Navy, Joe landed his first of many jobs in 1955, and later started his own company, National Pest Control. Joe married Theresa Ortiz in 1957. They raised their three children, Danny, Cathy and Valerie. Joe moved from Santa Fe, New Mexico to Henderson, Nevada in 1993. Two years later, he married Peggy in 1995. Joe is survived by his wife Peggy Ortiz of Henderson, Nevada. His loving children, Cathy Grunow, Valerie Jensen; Son-In-Law, Randy Grunow; Grandson, Daniel Grunow and Eric Nephew (Peggy's Son). In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Kidney Foundation, a charity that was close to Joe's heart. The family requests that notes are sent to grunowrcd@hotmail.com. Funeral service will take place at 11 am on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 North Guadalupe Street, Santa Fe, New Mexico, 87501.
