Joseph Montoya (Joe) Joe passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Lovelace Hospital DT. Thank you to the nurses and staff for taking such good care of him. Joe was born on September 5, 1962 in Albuquerque, NM, he grew up in the North Valley and graduated from Valley High School. Joe relocated to Phoenix, AZ in 1994 where he lived until April 2024, he moved back to ABQ to spend his retirement and be close to his mom. Joe is preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Montoya (Givie); and his brother, Gilbert Montoya (Gil). He is survived by his mother, P Gloria Lucero (Gogo); nephew, Dominick Fasulo; sons, Jaydn and Josiah of ABQ; niece, Jade Montoya; children, Noel, Sophia and Violet of AZ. Don't think of him as gone away his journey's just begun, life holds so many facets this earth is only one... Think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched... for nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much. A mass will be held on August 7, 2025, 9:00 am at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 4th St NW, 87114. Celebration of life to follow immediately after. Flowers are welcome as Joe loves bright colorful flowers and plants.
