Kathryn Capron Forward Born September 4, 1944 as Laura Joyce Brandenburg until the age of 4 when she was adopted by Barbara Ann and Charles E. Capron. Our mom leaves behind three grown children: daughters Kelly Forward Benzel, Kristina Bazargan-Forward, and son, Scottie Forward. In addition, she leaves behind her brother, Charlie Capron, and three grandchildren: Caroline, Jacob, and Jailynn. Our mom was a fascinating woman and you would have been pleasantly surprised by her contributions in society, from volunteering her time at the local library, to her willingness to teach adult literacy at her church, to such crafts as making scarves to needle point. She was a Drake University graduate and went on to be a caseworker for thirty years which is where she met her best friend Mary. It's a celebration of life! Thank you for your endless patience, understanding and love, mom. We miss you tremendously now and always. Our mom died on Thursday March 6, 2025 in the afternoon at Ladera Center in Albuquerque, NM. Please celebrate our mom as she would have wanted you to. There were two things she was very compassionate about and those were her church and Operation Identity. This organization is solely responsible for helping find our mom's mother, LaRue. They enjoyed several years together and building a beautiful and loving relationship. Our mom was so grateful to have been able to have a relationship with her birth mother. It was a blessing.
