Margaret Carrillo Margaret Ann Carrillo, 84, passed away
Margaret Carrillo Margaret Ann Carrillo, 84, passed away peacefully at home in Corrales, New Mexico on Thursday March 20, 2025. Margaret was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico to parents Annie Mae Franklin and Dean Stevens. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Josà Carrillo. Margaret is survived by her brother Benny Stevens; stepchildren Larry Carrillo, Greg Carrillo and Peggy Fason; and two nieces Keira Stevens and Jill Mehrer. Margaret graduated from Highland High School in 1958. She attended the University of New Mexico and graduated in 1962 with a degree in Education. She met Jose while teaching at Albuquerque High School and they were married in 1967. They moved to Trinidad Colorado where Margaret became a dedicated educator in business and home economics. After retiring Margaret and Jose moved to Casa Grande, Arizona where they lived for many years. Margaret will be missed by her family and all the students she taught during her long teaching career. No services are planned.
